     When leaving Furnas towards the town of Ribeira Quente, you will encounter a road of approximately 6 km where you will experience a sequence of stunning scenarios and extremely rich landscape, breathtaking hot watersprings, luxurious vegetation, never leaving behind our iconic tunnels and typical “smell of the ocean” as you enter the fishing town of Ribeira Quente home to Restaurant “Ponta do Garajau”.

     The restaurant was founded in 2002, the owners, with strong ties to the fishing business, founded the restaurant as a complement to a whale watching business, and also the need to offer a gastronomic experience that would allow those who visit us to savor the wide variety of the freshest fish of the Azorean Sea.
